National Park of American Samoa

The National Park of American Samoa is a national park in the United States territory of American Samoa. The park is distributed across three islands: Tutuila, Ofu, and Ta‘ū. The park is home to coral reefs, tropical rainforests, fruit bats, and the Samoan culture.

On the southern shore of Ta‘ū, you can find the world’s tallest sea cliffs, of approximately 915 metres above the ocean. Popular activities include hiking and snorkeling.

Ofu and Olosega are parts of a volcanic doublet in the Manu‘a Island Group, which is part of American Samoa in the Samoan Islands. The highest peak on Ofu Island is Mount Tumutumu at 491 meters, and the highest peak on Olosega is Mount Piumafua, at 629 meters.

Ofu island’s jewel is the beach along the south coast. It is covered by 4km of shining, palm-fringed white sand. The offshore waters are deep enough for some excellent viewing of coral and tropical fish.
