Mbabane
Mbabane is a city in Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland, and is one of the two capitals (along with Lobamba), serving as the executive capital.
This town is sat more than 1,2000 meters up the Mdzimba Mountains, and it is covered in low-rise bungalows and palm-dotted streets. The altitude is great for avoiding the scorching heat of the tropical plains below, while the heritage and cultural attractions here are pretty good too. Check out the endless bazaars and emporiums of the Swazi Market, where wicker creations and soapstone whittlings meet fresh veg and fruit. Piggs Peak also offers beautiful views of the surrounding area.
Lobamba
Lobamba is a city in Eswatini and is also considered to be the capital of the county, along with Mbabane.
This small area serves as the legislative, traditional, spiritual, seat of government of the Parliament of Eswatini. It is also where travelers will discover beautiful landmarks of the state: the beautiful Lozitha Palace, home to the Queen Mother; the Swaziland Parliament; the honorific memorials to the country’s independence hero, King Sobhuza II. Visitors also, make a beeline for the informative National Museum of Swaziland, where the collections reveal stories of the British colonial age.
