When Can I Purchase Insurance and When Does My Coverage Begin?

For Single Trip Policies must be purchased before the start of your trip, and coverage applies during your trip.

Trip cancellation coverage becomes effective from the moment the premium is paid.

For Annual Multi-Trip Policies, coverage begins on the start date listed on your certificate and applies to all trips starting after that date.

How Much Does Travel Insurance Cost?

The cost of travel insurance varies depending on each case and is determined by several factors to best suit the needs of each traveler. At SoEasy Travel Insurance, your premium is calculated based on the following:

Factors Affecting the Cost:

Destination
The geographical area you are traveling to affects the cost. For example, insurance for the Schengen Zone has a different price than worldwide coverage, and destinations such as the USA or Canada may have higher premiums due to increased medical expenses.

Trip Duration
The longer your trip, the higher the premium. Choose between single-trip or annual multi-trip coverage depending on how often you travel.

Number of Travelers
The cost is calculated per person covered by the insurance policy.

Level of Coverage
Different coverage levels offer varying amounts of compensation and affect the final premium.

Additional Coverages
Adding optional coverages, such as winter sports or missed departure, will increase the premium.

How to Get a Quote:

To find out the exact cost of your travel insurance, visit our website and fill out the quote form with your trip details. You will immediately receive available options with corresponding premiums and can choose the coverage that best fits your needs and budget.

Tip: Annual travel insurance is usually the most cost-effective option if you travel frequently throughout the year!

When and How Do I Pay for My Policy?

Payment for your policy is made electronically at the time of purchasing the insurance. We accept most credit/debit cards as well as cryptocurrencies through the Coinbase platform.

Do I Need to Purchase Separate Policies for Each Family Member Traveling with Me?

No, you do not need separate policies for each family member. You can insure the entire family under a single family policy, as long as you declare all travelers during the purchase process.

Children under 16 years old are covered only when traveling with one or both insured adults.

Do I Need Separate Policies if My Trip Includes More Than One Country?

No, you do not need a separate policy for each destination. When filling out the quote form, simply list all the countries you will visit in the “Where are you traveling?” field. This way, a single policy covers your entire trip, regardless of the number of destinations.

Which Means of Transport Are Covered?

According to the insurance policies, a “public transport vehicle” is defined as any publicly available:

    • Aircraft (passenger planes)
    • Ship (ferries, boats)
    • Train
    • Coach or bus

Basic Requirement:

To be covered, you must have a reservation or ticket for the transport as a passenger. The insurance covers both international and domestic legs of your trip.

Important Clarification:

The ticket must be for public transport —i.e., services available to the general public for passenger transport. Private means of transport (e.g., rental cars, private boats) do not fall under the definition of “public transport” and are subject to different coverage terms.

Can I Make Changes to My Policy?

You can make changes to your insurance policy under certain conditions, depending on the type of change and the status of your trip.

✓ Before the trip starts you can make changes if:

    • No insured person has traveled
    • No claim has been submitted or is pending
    • Coverage has not yet started (for single-trip policies)

Types of Changes You Can Make:

    • Add or remove insured persons
    • Change travel dates
    • Change destination
    • Add coverage extensions (e.g., winter sports, COVID-19)
    • Upgrade coverage level

After the trip starts you can request an extension of the insurance duration.

For any changes, you can contact us via email at: info@soeasytravelinsurance.com

    • Coverage has not started
