best places to visit in Zimbabwe
Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls, popularly known as, Vic Falls, is a resort town and city in the province of Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe. The town lies on the southern bank of the Zambezi River at the western end of the Victoria Falls themselves, which gave the town its name.
Thousands of people flock here to see the awesome sight every year. Visitors join the baboons in the jungles and delve into the Victoria Falls National Park, gawping and gasping as the great curtain of water comes into view, cascading dramatically off its black-rock cliffs in plumes of steam and mist.
Harare
Harare is the capital and most populous city of Zimbabwe.
Sat up on the plateaus of Zimbabwe’s central highlands, it certainly looks very special. Endless steel-clad skyscrapers shoot up from its CBD – the economic kingpin of the country – and First Street and the downtown buzzes with purring traffic and shoppers from morning till night. And there’s history too, poking out with the great preservation of the National Gallery, the national archives, and the Queen Victoria Museum, not to mention the wealth of old colonial builds.
