Lagos

Lagos is the largest city in Nigeria and the second-most populous city in the whole of Africa, with about 18 million people calling it home. The city used to be the national capital of Nigeria until December 1991 when the government decided to move its capital to Abuja in the center of the country.

Here you can find throbbing streets of beer bars and clubs decorating the districts of Ikeja and Victoria Island, where ex-pats and sailors, and locals chat over fizzy brews. There are also salt-washed seafronts on the coast, as well as the beautiful stretch of Lagos Bar Beach – an area of golden sand that meets the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.

Yankari National Park

Yankari National Park is a large wildlife park located in the heart of the West African Savanna, in north-eastern Nigeria. It covers an area of about 2,244 km² and is home to several natural warm water springs, as well as a wide variety of flora and fauna.

The park gives you the opportunity to experience the roaming herds of African elephants, or to seek out the fascinating relics of earlier people in the caves. More than 20,000 people come here to partake in ecotourism every year, which means there are plenty of lodges and tour operators ready to help you. Make sure to not miss the Kalban Hill or the chiseled rocks of the Tonlong Gorge.

Oceania is in a continental group consisting of 14 countries and includes Pacific islands and Australia. Often Australia is named as a continent, but this means that the many islands and countries except Australia would then be not included. Oceania in fact is mostly ocean and spans a vast area as you can see below.
