best places to visit in the United Arab Emirates
Jebel Jais
Jebel Jais is a mountain of the North-Western Hajar range, which includes the Musandam Governorate of Oman and Ras Al Khaimah, in the United Arab Emirates.
The summit is located on the Omani side, but a high point west of this peak is considered the highest point in the United Arab Emirates, at 1,892 meters above sea level. You could come here simply to admire the view of rugged Hajar Mountain peaks rippling down to the coastline plateau, or you can choose to match those views with some adventurous activities. The most popular mountain experience here is the Jebel Jais Flight, the world’s longest zipline, which runs down the side of the peak for over 2 km, reaching speeds of up to 120 km per hour.
Dubai
Dubai is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the capital of the Emirate of Dubai. The city was established in the 18th century as a small fishing village and grew rapidly in the early 21st century into a cosmopolitan metropolis with a focus on tourism and hospitality.
If you are here for sun-and-sand focused vacations, then the luxury resorts focused along the coast west of the central city of Dubai are not going to disappoint you. In addition, the Burj Khalifa is one of the United Arab Emirates’ most famous buildings and the soaring sky-high landmark of Dubai, which also holds the title of the world’s tallest building (at 828 meters high).
